Hill

Shannon Hill, PhD, works at Queen’s University with the Organizational Development and Learning team and as an assistant faculty member, while also providing consulting services to a diverse range of organizations. With 35 years of experience, she has worked with leaders and teams to enhance organizational effectiveness through organizational design, leadership development, program evaluation, and change initiatives. Her work is grounded in adult learning principles and strengths-based leadership and focuses on helping individuals, teams, and organizations align structures, roles, and practices to achieve strategic goals and realize their full potential.

Shannon brings extensive experience designing and facilitating leadership and team development programs, incorporating experiential learning and diagnostic assessments, and supporting organizations through growth, transformation, and culture change. She leverages evidence-based tools and frameworks to help individuals understand team dynamics, strengthen collaboration, and build leadership capacity. Her approach combines practical organizational insight with deep expertise in adult education and leadership theory.

Shannon is qualified to deliver MBTI® Step I workshops and is certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada to deliver Mental Health First Aid Training. She also holds certifications in Personality Dimensions, True Colors, EQ-i, and DiSC, which she incorporates into organizational design, leadership, and team effectiveness initiatives.

She holds a PhD from Queen’s University Faculty of Education, a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from Brock University, a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from Brock University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph. Her doctoral research supports academic leadership development in higher education.
