Exploring the Roots of Large-Group Change Techniques
With organizations and their environments in a state of constant flux, organizational development scholars have been challenged to create and practice methodologies that enable fast, yet comprehensive change. In answer to the call, a wide range of large-group change techniques has emerged to promote whole-systems adaptability. While the technologies differ in their focus and approach, all share a common assumption base, stemming from a deep intellectual root system.

Paul Juniper Embarks on Cross-Country Speaking Tour: “The Future of HR”
As the IRC’s 2010-2011 programming season ramps up, our Director, Paul Juniper, has been busily preparing for a speaking tour that takes him to Barbados, then to both the East and West coasts of Canada.
Earlier this week, Paul addressed an HR-specific audience at the Cave Hill School of Business at the University of the West Indies. He also spoke to delegates from a diverse range of organizational functions at the 13th Annual Human Resource Management Association of Barbados (HRMAB) Conference.
Later this month, Paul will present at the Atlantic HR Conference in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on October 21st. He’ll conclude his October travels with a sold out session at the Human Resource Institute of Alberta (HRIA) in Calgary on October 28th.
Broadly, Paul’s talks focus on the transformation of the human resources profession to a strategic partner in organizational design and capacity. He also emphasizes how global conditions are impacting the world of work and what this means for the future of HR and other professions.
